Charity Golf Day 2025
Kirby & Knott Raise Over £10,000 at Charity Golf Day for Hollie Gazzard Trust

On Friday 12th September 2025, Kirby & Knott Financial Planning were delighted to host this year’s Charity Golf Day in support of the Hollie Gazzard Trust. The event, held at Gloucester Golf Club, brought together 72 golfers and raised over £10,000 for the Trust — surpassing all expectations and last year’s total.

We could not have done it without the full dedication of the Kirby & Knott team, whose energy and organisation on the day were simply outstanding. A special thank you is also due to Keith, the General Manager of Gloucester Golf Club, for his generous support and for ensuring everything ran smoothly on the course. Just as in past years, the day was about more than just golf: it was about community, generosity and coming together.

The day started with a team closest to the pin competition on Pebble Beach’s famous 7th hole using Gloucester Golf’s Trackman on the driving range. Throughout the event there were team and individual challenges, including longest drive, straightest drive and closest to the pin competitions, as well as an amazing hog roast in the clubhouse followed by a raffle, prize draw and auction.

As Business Partners for Hollie Gazzard Trust, supporting young people, raising awareness about unhealthy relationships, and helping communities grow stronger are central to our mission. The funds raised from this year’s golf day will go directly toward that work.

Thank you to every one of the golfers, sponsors, volunteers and staff who took part. We look forward to next year, continuing our support for Hollie Gazzard Trust and the vital difference they make.
Charity Golf Day 2024
On 5th September 2024, we hosted over 60 golfers for our annual golf day at Lilleybrook Golf Club. Despite the constant drizzle all day, there was an incredible display of generosity from all of our sponsors and golfers on the day.

We’d like to thank Blue Sky Signs who sponsored our welcome desk with goodies for our teams before they went out on the course. Also a massive thank you to Redkite Solicitors who sponsored our halfway house refreshment. It was great to see the Redkite team braving the rain!

Before teeing off, teams enjoyed bacon rolls and coffees as well as warm cookies supplied by Hilton Double Tree next door to the course. Unlike last year’s competition where the teams basked in 30 degree heat, this year the course was wet and made for challenging conditions.

There were individual and team challenges as well as closest to the pin and longest drive competitions. Following the golf, players enjoyed an amazing two course meal in the clubhouse whilst the raffle, prize draw and auction took place.
This year's golf day raised an incredible £7,200 for the Hollie Gazzard Trust. We have been huge supporters of the Trust since we started our business and our Corporate Ambassador status reinforces our commitment. The money raised from the day will be invaluable for the work they do.

Nick Gazzard, CEO and founder said "Kirby and Knott delivered another fantastic golf day at Lilley Brook, raising vital funds for the Trust. The Trust does not receive any grant funding, so we rely heavily on events like the Kirby & Knott golf day to raise funds that will allow us to continue the work that we undertake in schools, colleges and universities, to help young people become better citizens and make our communities more resilient to the present day challenges. We are very grateful to all the sponsors, golfers and staff at Kirby & Knott for their generosity."

Next year's event will be held at Gloucester Golf Course on 12th September 2025. Please get in touch if you’d like to join us!

Charity Golf Day 2023

Hollie Gazzard Trust

When Hollie Gazzard was horrifically murdered in Gloucester in February 2014, her family wanted something positive to come out of their tragic loss. Hollie’s passion for hairdressing led her parents, Nick and Mandy, alongside her sister, Chloe, to form the Trust in order to give opportunities to others that she had been fortunate to have. An application was made to the Charities Commission in April that same year and the Hollie Gazzard Trust, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), was created.

While Hollie’s family are still devastated by her untimely death, and unable to change the events of that fateful day, they hope that the funds raised through the Trust will help young people and those around them to spot the signs of unhealthy relationships, have the confidence and support to leave violent and abusive partners to create a better future and reach their full potential.

Having met Nick, we have been truly inspired by his strength and determination to make a difference to others.

Abbeymead Rovers Football Club

We are very proud to support such an amazing local club. Our business focuses on creating financial wellbeing to individuals and businesses, and this was a perfect opportunity to support a club that has a similar ethos.

Walking Football at Abbeymead Rovers is an important part of our community and its role in mental and physical well-being should not be underestimated. Having watched the teams in action, it’s great to see the social spirit that the club has developed, but don’t let that fool you, it is still very competitive!

We are looking forward to extending our sponsorship to the wider club by supporting Abbeymead Rovers Annual Football Tournament and Festival, as well as their annual presentation day.
